Grassroots Advocacy
Nothing turns the tide of policy decisionmaking as powerfully as hearing from the grassroots, the people who live around the country and back home. When large numbers of constituents advocate a position for or against a pending proposal, policymakers take notice. Those grassroots contacts can make the difference in the outcome. Olive, Edwards, & Cooper can help clients organize and activate their grassroots — whether it’s employees, members of an organization, or other like-minded groups of people. We direct clients’ grassroots programs, advise as to how to communicate their message to the right policymakers, and produce grassroots advocacy materials. We will develop a comprehensive grassroots advocacy program, including personal communications and letters to the editor, or simply create model materials. But we can help clients get the most out of their best advocates — their grassroots resources.
